I made some gauchos out of embroidered linen from Butterick 4744, View E. It has a fitted waist with facing and zipper in back. It sewed up very easily and is so comfortable to wear. I adore them. I'll probably make some more. I may even make the long shorts, View A.
While my husband was snapping these pictures for me in our backyard, my toddler ran up and wanted me to hold him and then our dog wanted me to play.
