I Am Having a Baby at 46

I am so excited to share with you our wonderful news. We are having a baby!!! I am currently 12 weeks along. I'm feeling great. No problems. I've been hula hooping my way through, and I'll continue to do so throughout the pregnancy. It is very safe. I made myself a pregnancy hoop. It is bigger and a little lighter in weight. First picture is of my blood being drawn for the lab work. Second one is an ultrasound picture of our baby. And then there is a video we made of the ultrasound. I'll share some baby bump pictures with you as soon as I can. So stay tuned.

    Trudy, I'm SO EXCITED!!! for you and hubby and the kids!! Yippee!! Thanks so much for sharing the video of your sweet baby. Wow..talk about a Valentine's Day surprise. :o)

    You astonish me. I could never have kept it a secret for so long. But since I got pregnant three times in the last two years..and lost all three..well I understand. Being 48..it's not easy to maintain a pregnancy unless everything is just right. I'm so so happy for you. :O)

    Trudy, Thinking of you and so appreciate your comments this week. I'm missing the grandbabies. Hoping you are doing OK. I so am wishing for life to slow down a wee bit so we can have you over. But life has been a non-stop scramble since A & E decided they were moving to Seattle..now. They just arrived today. My house is kind of buried..so I'm doing laundry..and trying to help their cat, Kitty, acclimate to her new home.

    First: Congratulations on your pregnancy, I hope it all goes smoothly (has never had a baby, has no idea how to congratulate someone without sounding awkward, sorry).

    Second: Thank you! I have only just spotted your blog today and I saw you use a hoola hoop as exercise. I'm physically disabled so can't go to the gym without risking hurting myself and was desperate for some way to tone myself safely. This is perfect especially as I want to tone my tummy.

    Third: (and this is totally random) You have the loveliest face I've seen in a long time.

    Trudy after I ask you all those questions I went back and thoroughly read your blog. and I seriously got to know you much better. With your homeschooling and all your children. I have a 23 and a 24 year old and a 12 year old. But OMG I taught school and my oldest two boys went with me. I have good friends who have home schooled their children and their family's seem so together. And when the older ones went to college they did beautifully. I imagine you and your family are just that way. I think what a fun thing to be able to have a child at this age and know what is important and what is not. Just life's lessons. You know?
